About Roger Tunsley

A freelance business consultant providing writing services to businesses.

An accomplished technical and business writer with more than 25 year's experience. I know how to present technical information effectively for different audiences and in different media. I have an abiding interest in how people interact with products through software user interface design and usability testing. These skills and interests complement one another perfectly.

I have been writing online documentation since its inception. Together with a colleague, I was awarded a certificate of excellence from the Society for Technical Communication for the online help and reference documentation for a complex scientific software application.

My skill set includes translation management of company documents into more than 20 languages.

I have run projects on software user interface design and usability testing, and written and published a wide range of corporate and private documents, newsletters, and web site content.

Project management is an area with a heavy dependency on writing and communication for success. I have managed several engineering development projects using concurrent engineering project best practices and I have a strong understanding of the development project process.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Technical and Professional Writing. I have taught online documentation in the Master's Professional Writing program at Northeastern University as an Associate Professor.

I am a board member and the newsletter editor of the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association.
